Sunrise photography on the beach this morning and I met an enthusiastic amateur who had just picked up a Canon Rebel with a kit lens. She wanted to learn more about exposure and “all the other settings” her camera can do. Her enthusiasm was inspiring and reminds me of the sheer joy this endeavor can bring. Hopefully she’ll follow up with me later so I can send her a link to the book Understanding Exposure. There’s a whole world just waiting for her.
